The Summer Production this year was ‘Archie Dobson’s War’. This is a play commemorating World War 1 that has been specially written for children for performance in schools. The play combines singing, dance and a wide range of small spoken parts which meant there was something for all the children in Shellingford. It dealt with the subject of war sensitively and at a level the children could comprehend. The children performed it beautifully and learned a lot in the journey.
Thanks go to Mr Drew for directing the performance and all the supporting staff who made it an excellent production for the whole school, but especially the starring Year 6’s who will now be moving on to their new schools in September.
