The children in Class One and Two took to the stage to recreate the Christmas story. From charming songs to wonderful costumes, the children rose to the occasion and performed ‘The Sleepy Shepherd’ with confidence.
The children in Classes Three and Four voted for the charity they wanted to support this Christmas and they decided upon Crisis, the UK national charity for homeless people. A marvellous £258.81 was raised in donations.
Thank you also to FoSS for organising the refreshments; for the mulled wine and donations of cakes and to our volunteers for their help in the kitchen. The refreshments raised a fantastic £243.80. The Christmas Hamper Raffle has to date raised to date £173.00. Tickets are still available at £1.00 and the winner will be drawn at the Children’s Christmas Party being held next Thursday 19th December from 5.30 – 7.30pm in the Community Hall.
Following St Faith’s Christmas Fayre earlier this month the class stalls made a £188.51; spending of this money is delegated to the children and School Council. FoSS raised an additional £237.00 from the Chocolate Tombola, Craft stall and Guess the Name of the Dog competition.
We are looking forward to our Christmas Service which will be led by Class Four and the Reverend Jeremy Goulston. This is a lovely end of term occasion at which the whole school community celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ.
